Powered Exoskeleton MkI – Atlas

Introduction

This has got to be one of the most, if not THE most exciting project for me. I have worked on several projects over my 19 years on this Earth, all with varying degrees of relation to each other. I have worked on various projects related to power systems, aviation (post coming soon), robotics, machine learning, and composites. One field, however, keeps drawing me in like a black hole and it seems like as the years pass I seem to be getting closer and closer to the event horizon of this black hole and eventually I can see myself in the singularity. This field is bionics and prosthetics, the process of merging man and machine. I have been obsessed with this field for my whole life without even knowing, always trying to figure out a way for machines to pick up the slack of human imperfections and creating a perfect hybrid. I have been thinking about this exoskeleton for 6 years now and I have made a few crude prototypes in high school (still won the science expo though), but I want to make this a serious piece of tech. This portfolio will be dedicated to documenting my development process on the official Mark 1 Atlas exoskeleton.

This is the first prototype that was primarily used as an electronics testbed.
